Careers Information for Pupils
EPA Careers Profile
Beginning in September 2019, all pupils will develop a Careers Profile as part of their form time activities.
Year 11
As part of college transfer you will have the opportunity to attend a Moving On Evening with your parents, you will also have a College Transfer Evening, whereby you can consider the offers from the local colleges.
A number of schools with Sixth Forms will also visit you in assembly to present their offers.
You will be given a Moving On booklet to support you on your journey and you will be encouraged to attend as many open events at post-16 educational facilities as you possibly can.
Information, Advice and Guidance is provided to Year 11s and Year 10s through our dedicated Careers Adviser from Prospects, a local CEIAG service. The pupils will be given information about qualification pathways post 16, and they will be able to discuss ideas about their possible career choices.
Year 10
Your careers programme includes: assemblies, form activities and workshops. Additionally, you will develop employability skills throughout all subjects at EPA.
Year 9
Your careers programme includes: assemblies, form activities and workshops. Additionally, you will develop employability skills throughout all subjects at EPA.
Also in Year 9 you will make your Option choices, as part of this process you will have an interview with a senior member of staff. You will also have the opportunity to attend an Option Evening during which you can consider the courses in detail and where they lead to in the future.
Year 8 and Year 7
Your careers programme includes: assemblies, form activities and workshops. Additionally, you will develop employability skills throughout all subjects at EPA.
